Savoy Kitchen in Alhambra, CA

Everyone has a simple and delicious go to place when they can't decide on what to eat. For me, the obvious choice would be Savoy Kitchen in Alhambra. Famous for their Hainan or Nainam style chicken and rice plate.

The chicken is always moist and juicy.
Ginger sauce is pungent and gives it that Asian flavor.
The chili sauce gives it that tangy and spicy kick at the end.
My friend Sam and I tend to drench our plate with those
    delicious sauces.

Rice is always light and fluffy and well flavored. (Only $2.00/plate of rice)

Savoy kitchen is probably one of the older restaurant that has been in the 626 and is definitely here to stay for years to come. A combination of simple, delicious, and inexpensive meal(Usually around $10 per person). It is hard to go wrong.

Tips, during lunch and dinner time, parking can be hard to find nearby. Might be required to park ways down the residential neighborhood. It's a small restaurant, so go early to avoid long lines. They don't accept credit cards, cash only(Asian place, it's expected).

    Also delectable goods:
    Shrimp rolls
    Creme Brulee
    Ice lemon tea
    Chicken broth

    Hello and welcome!

    Hello!

Welcome to my food blog. For as long as I could remember, I've always been passionate about food. It wasn't until early 2012, I was inspired to want to start my very own food blog. My mission is to share as much of the culture, food, and experiences as I can from my home town of San Gabriel Valley(SGV/626) and the Los Angeles that surrounds it. I sincerely hope you enjoy this food blog, and please don't be shy to comments or questions on any of the posts!

    Thank you!
